  • Urban Outfitters, Inc. (NASDAQ: URBN) rose 11.6 percent to $34.85 in pre-market trading as the company reported stronger-than-expected results for its second quarter on Tuesday.
  • Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE: VRX) rose 9.7 percent to $29.17 in pre-market trading. Morgan Stanley upgraded Valeant from Equal-weight to Overweight and raised the price target from $33.00 to $42.00.
  • Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: AUPH) rose 6.9 percent to $2.47 in pre-market trading after surging 27.62 percent on Tuesday.
  • MeetMe Inc (NASDAQ: MEET) shares rose 5.4 percent to $5.29 in pre-market trading after reiterating strong guidance figures for its third quarter and full year. For Q3 management expects revenue of $17 million to $17.5 million, which compares to consensus of $17.28 million, and adjusted EBITDA of $6.5 million to $7 million, up at least 25 percent year-over-year.
  • Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE: LL) shares rose 4.8 percent to $17.06 in pre-market trading as the company on Tuesday announced the final resolution of Proposition 65 suit.
  • Childrens Place Inc (NASDAQ: PLCE) rose 4 percent to $89.27 in the pre-market trading session after the company reported better-than-expected results for the second quarter and boosted its full year outlook.

  • Alere Inc (NYSE: ALR) rose 2.1 percent to $41.25. Alere posted Q1 net loss from continuing operations of $0.18 per share on revenue of $578 million.

  • StemCells Inc (NASDAQ: STEM) shares fell 29.2 percent to $1.84 in pre-market trading as the company reported that it will accept warrant exercises from holders to purchase common stock issued on April 29, 2015 at a reduced exercise price of $1.10 per share. StemCells shares jumped 598.55 percent on Tuesday.
  • Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE) shares fell 9.4 percent to $24.90 in pre-market trading as the company reported downbeat earnings for its fourth quarter and issued a weak forecast for the current quarter.
  • 21Vianet Group Inc (NASDAQ: VNET) shares fell 8.1 percent to $9.66 in the pre-market trading session. 21Vianet Group reported a Q2 adjusted loss of $0.17 per ADS on revenue of $137.1 million. JP Morgan downgraded 21Vianet Group from Neutral to Underweight.
  • Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) fell 5.4 percent to $77.09 in pre-market trading as the company reported weaker-than-expected results for the second quarter and cut its earnings outlook for the full year.
  • Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) shares dropped 4.5 percent to $72.10 in pre-market trading. Target reported better-than-expected earnings for its second quarter, but lowered its full-year profit guidance.
  • INC Research Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: INCR) shares fell 3.8 percent to $43.65 in pre-market trading. INC Research reported a secondary offering of 4.5 million shares common stock.
  • Staples, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS) shares fell 3.5 percent to $9.00 in pre-market trading. Staples reported in-line earnings for its second quarter, but issued a disappointing earnings forecast for the current quarter.
  • Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc (NASDAQ: PLKI) shares fell 2.5 percent to $57.02 in pre-market trading. Popeyes posted in-line earnings for its second quarter, but sales missed analysts’ estimates. Popeye's also lowered FY 2016 system-wide same-store sales growth from a range of 2-3 percent down to 1-2 percent.
  • ASML Holding NV (ADR) (NASDAQ: ASML) fell 2.3 percent to $105.45 in pre-market trading. Bank of America downgraded ASML Holding from Buy to Neutral.
  • Southern Co (NYSE: SO) shares fell 2.2 percent to $49.87 in pre-market trading. Southern Company priced offering of 32.5 million shares of common stock for gross proceeds of around $1.6 billion.
