Donald Trump was greeted with a warm welcome tonight as he took the stage at the Republican National Convention.
"Friends, delegates, and fellow Americans, I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States," Trump said to the clapping audience.
On the floor, people began chanting "We Love Trump," as Trump began chanting "USA" simultaneously with his supporters.
"Who would've believed that when we started this journey on June 16th last year? And I say we, because we are a team," Trump said.
Trump describes the democrats as getting 20 percent fewer votes than they got four years ago.
"We will be a country of generosity and warmth. We will also be a country of law and order," Trump said.
Trump describes the convention as occurring at a moment of crisis for America.
It is finally time for a straight-forward assessment of the state of our nation, Trump described.
"I will present the facts plainly and honestly. We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore," Trump added.
Trump says he will honor the American people with the truth and nothing else.
