Alaska Airlines Launches Seasonal, Non-Stop Service

Alaska Air Group, Inc. ALK revealed it would launch seasonal, non-stop service between Anchorage, Alaska and Spokane, Washington, on June 11. According to the company, the flights would operate once a week on Saturday s until August 27.

The company's VP of capacity planning, John Kirby, commented to say, "Alaska Airlines is excited to introduce the first ever nonstop service between Spokane and Anchorage for the peak summer travel season."

He continued, "Our Anchorage and Spokane customers will enjoy another nonstop destination, where they can continue to reap the benefits of our award-winning customer service and loyalty program."

The stock traded 1.19 percent down on Friday.
