Arrow Electronics and CentraLite Reveal Distribution Deal

revealed Tuesday about a distribution deal with CentraLite Systems, which was a leading provider of products that allow a connected world throughout the nation. As per the agreement terms, the company would be the first active distributor of Jilia, CentraLite's award-winning IoT (Internet of Things) developer framework. The company indicated Jilia was a cloud-based IoT framework, which enables developers of all skill levels to quickly establish IoT connectivity between smart devices with help of a single, simple API framework. As a result, developers could establish IoT solutions at a considerably quicker pace—in several cases in as little as two to three months, or a potential time reduction of approximately 80 percent. Arrow's VP of IoT sales, Aiden Mitchell, commented that "Arrow is excited to add the Jilia platform to our growing IoT solutions portfolio. It removes a lot of the cost and frustration our customers face in quickly developing new connected technologies and bringing them to market. Jilia is ideal for Arrow's industrial and commercial customers looking to develop innovative IoT solutions for a wide variety of markets and applications, including intelligent lighting." CentralLie VP of sales and marketing, Sean Bryant, also viewed that "CentraLite has sourced components from Arrow for a long time, and we value their knowledge, professionalism and technical competency. We are thrilled to have Jilia represented in that same professional manner by Arrow Electronics." Shares of the company traded 0.67 percent down on Tuesday.
