Fauquier Bankshares Dividend Offers 3.20%

Fauquier Bankshares, Inc. FBSS revealed that its board has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.12 per share. This dividend worked out to $0.48 a share for the full year period. This dividend offered a yield of 3.2 percent, which was lower than the five-year average dividend yield of 3.4 percent.

Fauquier Bankshares said that this dividend would be payable on July 1. For determining the eligible shareholders to get the dividend, the company has fixed the record date of June 17 for the purpose.

The latest dividend's payout ratio was 42.0 percent, which was lower than the five-year average dividend payout ratio of 51.0 percent. The company slashed its dividend rate in the last five years because of which there was no average dividend growth rate.

On Tuesday, the stock traded 0.47 percent down.
