At 10:30 am, the Dow fell 0.26 percent to 17,674.99, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index moved down 0.23 percent to 2,059.35 and the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.02 percent to 4,736.42.

The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

Internet Service Providers: This industry gained 4 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Spark Networks Inc (NYSE: LOV), which rose 4 percent. Spark Networks is expected to release Q1 financial results on May 16, 2016.

Semiconductor - Specialized: This industry rose 3.9 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA), which gained 11.8 percent. NVIDIA reported upbeat results for the first quarter and issued a strong revenue outlook for the current quarter.

Regional Airlines: The industry gained 1.4 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE: LUV), which gained 2 percent. Southwest Airlines shares have dropped 1.60 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has slipped 2.76 percent in the same period.

Research Services: This industry moved up 1.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Myriad Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MYGN), which rose 1.4 percent.
