Agilent Technologies Launches InfinityLab


Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) disclosed that it launched InfinityLab, which was a product family of liquid chromatography instruments, columns and supplies. According to the company, a key element of this launch was the new Agilent 1260 Infinity II liquid chromatography system. The company indicated that it would bring high-end technology from its flagship 1290 Infinity II LC into its core platform.

Agilent Technologies said the Agilent 1220 Infinity II LC would be available in August while 1260 Infinity II LC, which was disclosed on May, and the current 1290 Infinity II LC systems together establish the fresh InfinityLab LC Series. The company said that the InfinityLab columns and supplies would enable tracking of critical method information for high data confidence apart from offering ergonomic designs for exceptional system usability.

The company unveiled the new product family at Analytica, an international trade fair for laboratory technology, now under way in Munich. Its VP and GM of Liquid Phas Separations Division, Stefan Schuette, said, "The 1260 Infinity II LC system as the new core platform of the InfinityLab LC Series represents a considerable technology refresh to increase customers' efficiency in three ways: delivering trusted analytical data, outstanding usability, and easy integration into existing lab environments."

Similarly, its VP and GM of Chemistries and Supplies segment, Helen Stimson, said, "The InfinityLab columns and supplies are designed to fit perfectly with our new InfinityLab LC Series. These products are designed to improve overall usability and reduce laboratory operating costs."

On Tuesday, the stock advanced 1.4 percent.
