Delta April PRASM Falls 4%

Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL disclosed that its consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) for the month of April fell 4.0% on a year over year basis. According to the company, it was in consistent with recent trends of pressure from close-in domestic yields and foreign exchange.

Delta said that total system load factor witnessed ten basis points improvement to 83.3 percent from 83.2 percent in the year-ago month. While passengers boarded advanced 13.1 percent, its cargo handling witnessed 10.7 percent drop in April.

The company's ASM grew 2.5 percent while its RPM advanced 2.7 percent on year-over-year basis. The company said its on-time performance was 90.3 percent in April. The airline firm also indicated that its mainline completion factor was 99.9 percent in April.

On Tuesday, the stock traded 0.12 percent.
