revealed that its stock would be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the market closes on Friday, April 29. The company indicated that it would also be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) Regional Banks Sub-Industry index. The index measured the small-cap segment of the equity market in the United States. Opus Bank said that the S&P SmallCap 600 was designed to measure the performance of 600 small-size companies in the America reflecting this market segment's distinctive risk, as well as, return characteristics. The index was designed to track companies that meet investability and financial viability criteria. The index was part of a series of S&P Dow Jones equity indices in the United States, which could be used as mutually exclusive building blocks. The company indicated that the index would not overlap holdings with the S&P 500 or S&P MidCap 400. On Tuesday, shares of the company ended higher by 2.95%.
