QUALCOMM, Inc. QCOM disclosed its subsidiary, Qualcomm Technologies, could make considerable progress in expanding the deployment, as well as the adoption of its Quick Change 3.0 tech. According to the company, after it launched Snapdragon 820 processor, a number of the recent smartphones were equipped with the latest generation of Quick Change.

QUALCOMM said it included the newly unveiled HTC 10. The chipmaker said the rapid growth in the device helped to demonstrate the high value that the technology provided for both consumers, as well as the mobile device makers.

Qualcomm Technologies SVP for product management, Alex Katouzian, said, "We've found that as consumer demand for greater battery life increases, phone battery size continues to grow as well. Since larger batteries naturally take longer to charge, a strong ecosystem supporting Quick Charge technology is critical to ensure the best possible user experience."

On Tuesday, the stock shed 0.35 percent.
