said, in a statement to the media, that it intends to showcase fresh capabilities at the 2016 NAB Show. According to the company, it would help enhance overall performance of over-the-top video service, as well as, support growing demand for 4K virtual reality content. Akamai said that its accelerated ingest capabilities were meant to minimize the time taken to reach its CDN from the origination point. The company believes that the new technology is faster to transport a combination of user datagram protocol based delivery, as well as, dynamic encode to entry-point mapping. The company said that Accelerated ingest, latency reductions and predictive delivery would be the highlights of its NAB Show presence in Las Vegas Convention Center. The tech firm said that all of them can address increasing consumer expectations apart from business requirements for OTT video experiences, which topped those of traditional broadcast and cable television.
