Science Applications International Announces $900 Million Contract Win With U.S. Army

were trading higher by around 1 percent on Thursday after the company
announced
it won a contract with the U.S. Army. As part of the agreement, Science Applications will provide logistics support services to the U.S. Army's Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense. The contract is valid for 3 years with an option to extend for an additional 3 years and is valued at $900 million if all options are exercised. Science Applications noted that work will be performed globally. "We are proud to continue our support to the JPEO-CBD by bringing our logistics, supply chain, and CBRNE knowledge and experience to provide best-in-class solutions to their joint project managers," said Jim Scanlon, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the U.S. Army Customer Group. "SAIC will partner with the JPEO-CBD to provide affordable logistics support to sustain and meet global force readiness requirements."
