The latest data from TickerTags indicates that Glu Mobile Inc. GLUU seems to have a social media hit on its hands with the new Kendall & Kylie Jenner mobile game. TickerTags monitors social media sites to identify trends by searching for words or phrases that are found together in social media content, such as tweets.
Glu Mobile released the new game this week, and it has already surged to the number one spot in the iOS store. Glu’s stock is keeping pace, climbing more than 5.3 percent in Thursday’s session.

TickerTags data shows that tweets including the terms “kendall”, “kylie” and “game” have spiked in the past two days, and tweets containing “#kendallandkyliegame” skyrocketed on Wednesday following the release of the game.
According to TickerTags, much of the feedback about the game is positive as well, with significant concentrations of tweets about the game including positive sentiment words such as “obsessed” and “addicted.”
Glu is hoping that the Kendall & Kylie game will continue its track to exceed the performance of Kim Kardashian’s mobile game, which has been the company’s biggest game to date. Not all celebrity games have been hits for Glu, however, as Katy Perry’s mobile game was a major disappointment.
