Gainers

Tyco International plc (Ireland) Ordinary Share (NYSE: TYC) shares rose 9.51 percent to $33.50 in pre-market trading. Johnson Controls Inc (NYSE: JCI) is in advanced merger talks with Tyco International, according to sources, as reported by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday. A deal for Tyco could be valued as high as $20 billion, the sources said.

Sunedison Inc (NYSE: SUNE) shares rose 7.92 percent to $2.86 in the pre-market trading session. Wall Street Journal reported that David Einhorn will get Sunedison board seat.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (USA) (NASDAQ: TSEM) rose 3.25 percent to $12.38 in the pre-market trading session after gaining 1.10 percent on Friday.

Wynn Resorts, Limited (NASDAQ: WYNN) shares rose 1.83 percent to $60.25 in pre-market trading after surging 4.39 percent on Friday.

SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ: SCTY) shares rose 1.15 percent to $32.41 in pre-market trading after gaining 0.85 percent on Friday.

Losers

Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVAX) shares fell 6.95 percent to $6.16 in pre-market trading after the company reported that it intends to offer $200 million of convertible senior notes due 2023.

International Paper Co (NYSE: IP) fell 5.64 percent to $34.40 in pre-market trading. Citigroup downgraded International Paper from Buy to Neutral.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) shares fell 3.51 percent to $58.85 in the pre-market trading. Goldman Sachs downgraded Caterpillar from Neutral to Sell.

Golar LNG Limited (USA) (NASDAQ: GLNG) shares fell 3.06 percent to $17.44 in pre-market trading after rising 50.67 percent on Friday.

Whole Foods Market, Inc. (NASDAQ: WFM) fell 2.20 percent to $29.75 in the pre-market trading session. BMO Capital downgraded Whole Foods Market from Market Perform to Underperform.
