Citrix Appoints Ex-Microsoft Exec As CEO


Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS) announced on Wednesday that Kirill Tatarinov has been appointed as President and CEO of the company, effective January 25.

Tatarinov will replace Robert Calderoni who has been service as Interim President and CEO since October 2015. Calderoni will resume his title as Executive Chairman of the company's Board of Directors.

Tatarinov brings over 30 years of industry experience to Citrix, including 13 years at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) where he served as President of the Microsoft Business Solutions Division.

The executive also served as Microsoft's Corporate Vice President of the Management & Solutions Division.

"Following a thorough review of candidates, the Board determined that Kirill's strong product management background and extensive technology leadership experience make him the right person to oversee Citrix's innovation and growth strategy," Calderoni stated.

Shares of Citrix have gained nearly 14 percent over the past year, but are lower by more than 12 percent since the start of 2016.
