On Wednesday, Apple's Italian subsidiary has agreed to pay 235 million euros (approximately $348 million) to the Italian government to settle an investigation into alleged tax avoidance.
BBC, citing Italian-based La Repubblica, reported that the Italian government claims Apple failed to pay part of its taxes between 2008 and 2013.
The Italian investigators found a gap between Apple's revenues in Italy of over 1 billion euros and the 30 million euros of taxes that were paid to the government.
