US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. The Dallas Fed general activity index for December will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 85 points to 17,364.0, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 9.75 points to 2,041.50. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index slipped 16.25 points to 4,594.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index falling 1.12 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index declining 0.63 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.86 percent. French CAC 40 Index dipped 1.01 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.56 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.99 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index dipped 2.59 percent and India's BSE Sensex climbed 0.76 percent.

Nike IncNKE
with a Buy and raised the price target from $75.00 to $77.00. Nike shares fell 1.87 percent to close at $63.15 on Thursday.
