US Stock Futures Edge Higher Ahead Of Beige Book, ADP Report

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The ADP national employment report for November will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET, while nonfarm productivity data for the third quarter will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Federal Open Market Committee will release its latest Beige Book report at 2:00 p.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 12 points to 17,874.0, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 1.50 points to 2,101.50. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 5.50 points to 2,101.50.

European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.19 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.48 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 0.16 percent. French CAC 40 Index surged 0.36 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.59 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.37 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 0.44 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index surged 2.33 percent and India's BSE Sensex dropped 0.20 percent.

Analysts at Citigroup upgraded

from Neutral to Buy and raised the price target from $95.00 to $110.00. Chevron shares rose 1.23 percent to close at $92.44 on Tuesday.
