Worst Performing Industries For November 16, 2015


The Dow rose 0.20 percent to 17,280.38, while the NASDAQ composite index fell 0.10 percent to 4,922.88. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 0.22 percent to 2,027.53.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

General Entertainment: This industry declined 1.8 percent by 11:00 am with Viggle Inc (NASDAQ: VGGL) moving down 11.7 percent. On Friday, Viggle reported Q1 adjusted EBITDA loss of $6.5 million, on revenue of $5.1 million.

Catalog & Mail Order Houses: The industry dropped 1.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Vipshop Holdings Ltd - ADR (NYSE: VIPS), which declined 9.4 percent. Vipshop lowered its Q3 revenue forecast.

Regional Airlines: This industry tumbled 1.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET), which fell 5.4 percent. Republic Airways shares have dropped 63.07 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 0.90 percent in the same period.

Movie Production, Theaters: This industry fell 1.1 percent by 11:00 am ET. Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (USA) (NYSE: LGF) shares dropped 3.4 percent in today's trading. Lions Gate Entertainment priced the underwritten offering of 3.4 million common shares at $39.02 per share.
