US Stock Futures Edge Lower Ahead Of Industrial Production, Consumer Sentiment Data
US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Data on industrial production for September will be released at 9:15 a.m. ET, while the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 21.5 points to 17,047.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 3.50 points to 2,015.50. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index declined 1.62 points to 4,410.13.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.66 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.36 percent and German DAX 30 index climbing 0.05 percent. French CAC 40 Index gained 0.21 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.43 percent.
In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.08 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.78 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.60 percent and India's BSE Sensex surged 0.76 percent.
Analysts at Credit Suisse upgraded Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ: LULU) from Neutral to Outperform and raised the price target from $57.00 to $64.00.
Lululemon Athletica shares rose 1.90 percent to close at $52.52 yesterday.
