At 10:30 am, the Dow climbed 0.18 percent to 18,081.87, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index moved up 0.59 percent to 2,119.83 and the NASDAQ composite index rose 0.85 percent to 5,142.18.

The industries that are driving the market today are:

Dairy Products: This industry moved up 3.5 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Dean Foods Co (NYSE: DF), which gained 4.8 percent. Deutsche Bank upgraded Dean Foods from Hold to Buy and raised the price target from $17.00 to $19.00.

Telecom Services - Foreign: The industry gained 2.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was iPass Inc. (NASDAQ: IPAS), which gained 5.1 percent. iPass reported the appointment of three new executives.

Consumer Services: This industry rose 1.9 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Student Transportation Inc (NASDAQ: STB), which gained 4.1 percent. Student Transportation shares have dropped 32.72 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has surged 7.62 percent in the same period.

Cigarettes: This industry jumped 1.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE: PM), which rose 2.8 percent. Philip Morris reported upbeat results for its second quarter.
