Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) shares surged 9.50 percent to $23.17. Guess named Paul Marciano as successor to the current CEO Maurice Marciano. Evercore analyst Omar Saad upgraded Guess? from Sell to Hold, while raising the target price to $22.

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTCT) shares climbed 7.99 percent to $52.85. JP Morgan upgraded PTC Therapeutics from Neutral to Overweight.

Celgene Corporation (NASDAQ: CELG) rose 7.76 percent to $132.38 after the company announced its plans to acquire Receptos for $7.2 billion and lifted its earnings forecast for 2015.

CymaBay Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: CBAY) shares climbed 5.67 percent to $2.98 after the company priced 7.12 million shares at $2.81 per share.

CSX Corporation (NYSE: CSX) shares rose 2.59 percent to $32.90 after the company reported better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter of 2015.

Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) shares gained 2.57 percent to $17.57 after the bank reported better-than-expected Q2 earnings.
