It's no guarantee that a big after-hours session will carry over into the next day of trading, but investors should always be aware of major gainers and losers. Here's a handful of stocks that were moving on Friday.

Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: SIMO) bounced up 3 percent after the bell Friday to $36 a share. The stock was off more than 6 percent earlier and the company didn't issue news.

Xactly Corp (NYSE: XTLY) rose 3 percent in late trading to $8.99. The provider of employee incentive programs closed up earlier by 8 percent. Late Thursday, the company priced its initial public offering at $8 a share.

Encana Corporation (NYSE: ECA) gained 2.7 percent in the after-hours session to $11.55. The gas and oil company closed down earlier by the same percentage.

First Majestic Silver Corp (NYSE: AG) bounced up 1.7 percent to $5.01 in late trading. The shares closed down nearly 4 percent earlier.

Zoetis Inc (NYSE: ZTS) edged up 1.7 percent to $49.43 in late trading. The veterinary medicine company closed down 12 percent earlier despite a reported bid from Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE: VRX).

Boise Cascade Co (NYSE: BCC) tumbled more than 8 percent in the extended session Friday to $35.20 without an obvious catalyst. The shares closed down earlier more than 2 percent.

Seres Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: MCRB) fell 6.6 percent in the after-hours session to $48. Earlier Friday, the shares closed up 185 percent in their first day of trading.

Ocean Rig UDW Inc (NASDAQ: ORIG) fell nearly 3 percent to $5.45 in late trading Friday. The company didn't issue news.

WhiteWave Foods Co (NYSE: WWAV) declined 1.8 percent to $49 after the bell. The consumer packaged food and beverage company didn't issue news Friday.

Oneok Partners LP (NYSE: OKS) fell 1.3 percent to $35.37 in the late session. The gas storage and transportation company closed down earlier by about the same percentage on no obvious catalyst.
