US Stock Futures Rise Ahead Of Economic Data

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. Data on durable goods orders for May will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the FHFA house price index for April will be released at 9:00 a.m. ET. The PMI manufacturing index for June will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET, while new home sales data for May will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 35.5 points to 18,060.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 5.20 points to 2,117.95. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 11.65 points to 4,544.40.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.92 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 1.52 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.38 percent. French CAC 40 Index jumped 1.39 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.42 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.87 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.93 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index climbed 2.19 percent and India's BSE Sensex rose 0.27 percent.
