GoPro Expanding Media Content, Stock Jumps 3%

GoPro Inc GPRO announced today that it was making its GoPro Channel available on Roku – a move that extends its content to more viewers. Currently, the GoPro Channel is available on Xbox, LG Smart TVs and in-flight Virgin America, and social media channels, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo, and Pinterest.

Zander Lurie, GoPro's SVP of Media, said GoPro has had 1 million downloads in the Xbox community as well. On YouTube, the GoPro channel has 2.7 million subscribers.

Earlier this month, analysts at JMP Securities cited GoPro's media capabilities as a reason they believe the stock will double.

GoPro's stock recently traded at $40.50, up $1.13 on the trading session.
