Professional networking company LinkedIn Corp (NYSE: LNKD) has acquired Careerify, the latter said Monday morning in a press release. The purchase implies the company will stop offering its internal mobility and employer branding services, focusing on only one: a referral service that helps companies’ human resources departments find new job candidates from its preexisting employees’ contact networks.

According to a re/code article, three of Careerify’s four employees will join LinkedIn’s Mountain View, California, headquarters. A spokesperson contacted about the deal declined to comment on the terms of the acquisition.
