Tesla Falls Following Elon Musk's Comments About Sales In China
Shares of Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) fell in Tuesday’s after-hours session following comments from CEO Elon Musk.
Musk commented to reporters ahead of the Automotive News World Congress presentation that Q4 sales in China declined significantly.
According to Musk, the sales decline was due to consumer misperceptions about vehicle battery charging.
Musk felt that the company’s new China head is capable of addressing the issues in the market.
Tesla recently traded at $192 in the after-hours session, down 6 percent.
