announced today that it was awarded a task order with a total value of $149 million, if all options are exercised. This task order was competitively awarded by the General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) on behalf of the Department of Defense's Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) to support JIEDDO's Special Operations Forces, Support Team (SOF ST). Awarded during CACI's fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2014, ending June 30, 2014, the contract supports CACI's business in its Integrated Security Solutions market area. The SOF ST supports JIEDDO's Attack the Network mission, enabling Special Operations units performing a variety of activities to disrupt and defeat violent extremist networks (VENs) that use or facilitate the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). CACI will provide operations/intelligence integration teams that rotate between stateside and forward-deployed locations, working with their government counterparts to help understand VENs, identify their vulnerabilities and employ a range of solutions to defeat them. CACI has provided counter-IED support to JIEDDO (formerly the U.S. Army IED Task Force) since its inception. With CACI's overall knowledge of JIEDDO's unique capabilities, it offers SOF units effective material and non-material solutions to the threats these units are likely to encounter. John Mengucci, CACI's Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI will continue to provide our proven processes and agile, experienced, and skilled staff to help the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization support global Special Operations. CACI's long experience in counter-IED work is the root of our innovative solutions that allow the customer to take on expanded mission sets.” According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “Our latest Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization contract award is the fruit of our continued focus on the important national mission to protect our Armed Forces and homeland from violent extremist networks. This win expands our ability to meet the needs of the entire Special Operations Global Network and provide security solutions to the Intelligence Community and other entities involved in responding to asymmetric threats.” CACI provides information solutions and services in support of national security missions and government transformation for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian customers. A Fortune magazine World's Most Admired Company in the IT Services industry, CACI is a member of the Fortune 1000 Largest Companies, the Russell 2000 Index, and the S&P SmallCap 600 Index.
