A healthcare worker in Texas, who treated the first U.S. Ebola patient, has now himself tested positive for Ebola, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services, as reported by

. The worker may be the first person to contract the deadly disease in the U.S., who has not been to West Africa. The worker treated Thomas Eric Duncan, who tested positive for Ebola following his arrival in the U.S. from Liberia, Duncan was admitted into the isolation ward at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital on September 28 with Ebola symptoms, and died on October 8, The U.S. government has started screening arriving passengers to the U.S. from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone at JFK, On Thursday, Newark Liberty, Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airports will begin screening passengers for fever.
