According to the New York Post, EMC Corporation EMC is exploring selling its stake in VMWare, Inc. VMW, giving into pressure by Paul Singer of Elliott Management.

Elliott Management holds a two percent stake in EMC Corporation .

Shares of EMC were up 0.7 percent in pre-market trading, while shares of VMW were trading higher by 0.9 percent.
