Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc.
HAWK shares were trending up in pre-market action Wednesday after the company agreed to provide gift-card services as part of Amazon.com's
AMZN newly launched Wallet app.
Terms weren't disclosed.
Blackhawk manages a prepaid payment network providing gift cards, other prepaid products and payment services.
Amazon Wallet was launched last week and is pre-installed on the Amazon Fire Phone.
Blackhawk President Talbott Roche said the company will provide "a more convenient way to manage and spend gift cards" through Amazon Wallet. "Even if customers leave the plastic at home they can still make a purchase at many locations."
In pre-market trading, Blackhawk was recently up nearly 2 percent at $28.50.
