Mid July Release and Trading Activity May Explain Crocs Halt

Shares of Crocs CROX have been halted since 4:00 PM ET Monday on “News Pending.”

Crocs issued a release on July 16 stating that the company will have a conference call on July 22, which leads many to believe that the announcement is related to earnings or guidance. This is reasonable, given that Crocs reported second quarter earnings on July 24 last year.

Some are speculating that late day trading activity indicates a negative news item was leaked. Shares of Crocs shot down $0.10 in the last seconds of trading, closing at bottom on the one minute candle.
