Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally To Join Google Board

Shares of Google GOOG got a small boost Tuesday after the company announced that Alan Mulally will join the board of directors; he will serve on the audit committee.

This announcement comes shortly after Mulally stepped down as CEO of Ford F

Google CEO Larry Page commented, “Alan brings a wealth of proven business and technology leadership experience. I am so pleased that Alan is now joining Google’s board!”

Shares of Google were last trading at $586, up 0.21 percent in the extended hours session.
