Alibaba May Launch IPO In July

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA may launch its initial public offering as soon as late July, according to a report from Dow Jones.

Citing people familiar with the matter, Dow Jones reported that Alibaba shared the information with investors in an email.

The email outlined plans for a series of meetings with potential future investors, called the roadshow. Timing is dependent on market conditions.

Investors were asked to agree to a 180-day lock-up period, a general practice for insiders, Dow Jones said.
