Markit Raises $1.3 Billion, To Begin Trading Thursday
Financial data powerhouse, Markit (NASDAQ: MRKT), is in high demand by investors.
Markit priced and upsized its IPO Wednesday night, raising $1.3 billion. An additional 17 percent of shares will be available to the market, for a total of 53.5 million. The offering priced right in the middle of the $23 to $25 range at $24.
The expected market value is about $4.3 billion, making this the largest IPO of the week.
Shares are likely to begin trading shortly after the regular session open.
