Gmail, Google Docs Went Down For First Time In 2014
UPDATE: Google has now updated its App Status Dashboard page with a message about today's outage:
"We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail. We will provide more information shortly."
Google posted similar messages for Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drawings, Google Sites and Google Groups.
The original story follows:
Google's (NASDAQ: GOOG) beloved e-mail service and accompanying document apps went down this afternoon.
It is not yet known how many users are (or were) affected, but it seems to be impacting a large number of Google users.
At press time, Google had yet to update its App Status Dashboard to reflect the issue.
On Twitter, many users are already complaining (and joking) about the outage:
Has Gmail just crashed for everyone? Bad timing, Gmail.
