InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE
CAE today inaugurated their ultra-modern pilot training facility in Greater Noida, National Capital Region (NCR). The centre, CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL), is a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE. An investment of over $US 25 million has already been made in setting up the facility and equipment. During the inauguration ceremony, CAE and Interglobe announced a long-term pilot training services agreement with GoAir, a low-fare domestic carrier. Starting in December 2013, GoAir's A320 pilots will train at the facility. "This is a momentous occasion for us. CAE is a global leader in simulation-based training and we are confident that this venture will enable pilots to be well equipped and trained in making the experience of flying hassle-free and safe," said Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director, InterGlobe Enterprises. "India is amongst the fastest growing civil aviation markets in the world. It is a large and untapped market with a shortage of trained pilots in the country and this centre will help address this gap."
