German Exports Gain 1% In August

German exports rose in August. German seasonally-adjusted exports surged 1.0% on the month, according to the Federal Statistics Office. However, economists were expecting a 1.5% rise. Imports rose 0.4% in August. German exports declined 1.1% y/y in the January to August period.
