announced today that it has signed an agreement to provide its proprietary proton beam therapy system for cancer treatment to Tsuyama Chuo Hospital, led by Yoshinori Ukita, president of Tsuyama Jifu Group, in Okayama. This will be the first particle therapy system in the Chugoku-Shikoku region, significantly expanding access to patients in southern Japan. The system will be part of a new treatment center expected to open in March 2016 that will be jointly operated with Okayama University.
