US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Fed Meeting

US stock futures are slightly higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 13 points to 15,496.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1.30 points to 1,683.80. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 5.75 points to 3,071.25. US stocks closed lower on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.24% to 15,521.97, the S&P 500 index falling 0.37% to 1,685.33 and the Nasdaq 100 index declining 0.39% to 3,599.14. The Federal Reserve will begin its two-day meeting today. The ICSC-Goldman Sachs store sales index will be released at 7:45 a.m. ET, while the Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index will be released at 8:55 a.m. ET. The S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for May will be released at 9:00 a.m. ET. The Conference Board's consumer confidence index for July and the State Street Investor Confidence Index for July will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Herbalife
