Athlon Energy Announces Launch of 15.789M Share IPO at Offering Price of $18.00-$20.00

Athlon Energy Inc.

(“Athlon”) announced today that it has launched its initial public offering of 15,789,474 shares of common stock at an anticipated initial offering price between $18.00 and $20.00 per share pursuant to a registration statement on Form S-1 filed previously with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). The selling stockholders named in the registration statement have granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 2,368,421 shares of the Company's common stock. The common stock has been authorized for listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “ATHL.” Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Goldman, Sachs & Co. are acting as joint book-running managers
