US Stock Futures Down Ahead Of Economic Data

US stock futures are lower this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 84 points to 14,777.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 9.70 points to 1,597.50. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 19.50 points to 2,903.75. US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.28% to 14,932.41, the S&P 500 index falling 0.05% to 1,614.08 and the Nasdaq 100 index declining 0.03% to 3,433.40. US stock markets will close today at 1:00 p.m. ET, ahead of the US Independence Day holiday. The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET, while the Challenger job-cut report will be released at 7:30 a.m. ET. The ADP national employment report for June will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET, while international trade gap report for May and weekly jobless claims data will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET, while the ISM non-manufacturing index for June will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET.
