SAIC Wins Five-Year $102M IT Pact with Orange County, CA

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)

announced today it was awarded a prime contract by the County of Orange, Calif. to provide information technology (IT) managed services and solutions to agencies and departments within the county. The single award firm fixed-price contract has a five year base period of performance valued at more than $74 million, two one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $102 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Santa Ana, Calif. and SAIC's Integrated Services Management Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Orange County's government consists of 25 departments, and respective divisions, responsible for its 3 million residents. The county serves as a regional service provider and planning agency whose core businesses include public safety, public health, environmental protection, regional planning, public assistance, social services and aviation. Under the contract, SAIC will provide IT services in areas including: service desk and desktop services; data center management; applications maintenance and development; and overall IT service management. SAIC will also help modernize the county's current IT infrastructure by centralizing IT services, upgrading applications systems and lowering costs.
