Michael Baker Announces Teamed with Wadsworth for UDOT I-15 Project

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation

, announced that it has been selected, as lead designer teamed with Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Sterling Construction Company, Inc.

, for a $22 million, Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) design-build (DB) project on I-15 in Payson, Utah. Baker's contract is valued at $2.1 million for a one-year period. Specifically, the project entails roadway widening and reconstruction of seven miles of I-15 from the South Payson Interchange to the Spanish Fork River. The project also includes widening of eight bridges, providing new pavement at the ramps, installation of noisewalls and upgrading of guardrail. Baker will provide roadway, drainage, structural and traffic design, traffic control plans and design quality management services.
