A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are slightly lower this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 9 points to 13,940.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 1.60 points to 1,516.90. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 2 points to 2,765.25.

European markets were mixed today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.02%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.03%, German DAX 30 Index declined 0.11% and French CAC 40 Index rose 0.09%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 1.18%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index dropping 0.05%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.13% and India's Sensex dropped 0.15%.

Analysts at UBS downgraded Public Storage

from “neutral” to “sell.” The target price for Public Storage has been lowered from $155 to $143. Public Storage shares rose 0.23% to $154.55 in after-hours trading.
