Costco Same-Store Sales Rise 9% In December

reported a 9% surge in December same-store sales. Excluding the impact of fuel and foreign currencies, the retailer's same-store sales rose 8%. Its net sales climbed 12% to $11.2 billion in the five weeks. However, analysts were expecting a 6.5% gain in same-store sales. Costco shares closed at $101.45 yesterday.
