Team Health Buys Emergency Medicine Practice in Mobile, AL

announced the continued growth in its Alabama operations through an acquisition of the practice of Mobile Emergency Group, PC (MEG), the physician group that currently provides services to the emergency departments of Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, Ala., and North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Ala. Both hospitals are part of Mobile-based Infirmary Health System (IHS). On December 15, TeamHealth commenced staffing and administrative services for these emergency departments that care for approximately 57,000 patients annually.
