US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Election

US stock futures are higher this morning, ahead of the presidential election. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 42 points to 13,095.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.30 points to 1,417.30. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14.75 points to 2,677.00. US stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.15% to 13,112.44, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.22% to 1,417.26 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.59% to 2,999.66. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.36%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.38% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.22%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.28% and India's Sensex gained 0.29%. Crude oil for December delivery gained $0.43 to trade at $86.08 a barrel on Globex. The ICE dollar index (DXY) fell 0.03% to trade at 80.69.
