Hanwha SolarOne Announces New President and CTO

announced today that the Board of Directors has appointed a new President and also a new Chief Technology Officer ( "CTO" ) of SolarOne. Mr. Min-Su KIM, the new President of SolarOne, joins SolarOne from Hanwha Group, where he most recently served as vice president-planning & strategy team of the Headquarters. In this role, he directed Hanwha Group's entire short and-long-term strategic planning efforts and was deeply involved in Hanwha group's solar business. Mr. KIM served as vice president of corporate planning for Hanwha Chemical from 2008 to 2011, where he led the company's study and selection of the solar business as the next growth vehicle for the Hanwha Group. He joined Hanwha in 1987 and spent five years in finance before serving in a number of leadership positions in sales and marketing for key product areas. He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University and his M.S. in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School.
