A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are slightly lower this morning, as investors are awaiting ISM manufacturing data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 8 points to 13,071.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 2.20 points to 1,402.90. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 2.25 points to 2,768.75.

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.69%, French CAC 40 index dropped 0.64%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 1% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.52%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.10%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.75% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.60%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 0.66% and India's Sensex gained 0.32%.

Analysts at Piper Jaffray upgraded Big 5 Sporting Goods

from “neutral” to “overweight.” The target price for Big 5 Sporting Goods has been raised from $8 to $12. Big 5 Sporting Goods shares gained 1.03% to close at $8.52 on Friday.
